How About More Spending or Another Stimulus?

Dare to dream, but look — the president will have cut the deficit in half within his first four fiscal years, from $1.4 trillion in 2009 to $642 billion by the end of this year. That’s far lower than $845 billion number I’ve been writing about.

So why not do some spending on infrastructure and other programs? The deficit is clearly going to be erased within the next several years, so why not get some stimulus in the meantime?

Oh.

That’s right.

Never mind.

The Republican House. Which is made up of liars and idiots who depend upon telling their people that the president has doubled the deficit to $16 trillion.
