Guns Steve Stockman The Daily Banter

Another Gun Massacre and Another Powerful Reason for Stronger Gun Control Laws

My Tuesday column and familiar territory:

At approximately 8 a.m. eastern time on Monday, a man named Aaron Alexis, a former reservist with the U.S. Navy, entered the Naval Sea Systems Command office building at the Navy Yard in Washington, D.C. and opened fire, killing 12 people and wounding 10 others. The gunman used a shotgun, a handgun and an AR-15 semi-automatic assault rifle to rain bullets into a crowd of people before eventually being shot and killed by police.

At 2:15 p.m., six hours after the massacre, Rep. Steve Stockman (R-TX) tweeted the following sentiment to his followers: “Remember to keep praying for those affected by both the Navy Yard shootings and the Colorado floods.”

A noble gesture — that is if you ignore the irony that the congressman is a vocal climate crisis denier, as well as one of the NRA’s most valuable allies inside the House of Representatives with a creepy obsession with AR-15 assault rifles, say nothing of being one of the only internet trolls serving as a member of Congress.

His request for prayers appears more cosmetic and hollow knowing that even after an AR-15 had been used as the weapon of choice during the Aurora movie theater massacre last Summer, and once again during the heart-wrenching massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary school, Rep. Stockman held not one but two wacky contest giveaways this year in which a Bushmaster AR-15 was the grand prize, clearly because it became the most infamous firearms in modern history after Sandy Hook. (Why else, out of thousands of other firearms, did he choose that one?)

Ghoulish and macabre barely scratches the surface in describing Stockman’s gun giveaways, especially considering the infamy of the specific weapon… [CONTINUE READING]

Not to be a Debbie Downer, here is the mass shooting script for the upcoming months.

    1) Someone will say that the shooter was quiet and polite
    2) The gunfree zone argument
    3) The call for change.
    4) The British guy who use to work for Rupert Murdoch, has a panel of talking heads
    5) Violent videogames or Hollywood will be blamed.
    6) NRA will soon come out with a statement that a good guy with a gun will stop a bad guy with a gun “it took a while because the bad guy had a big ass gun.”
    7) Sympathy and outrage will come from the politicians “They might even take a vote.”
    8) Nothing will be done.
    9) Rinse and repeat

    • Felonious Grammar

Aaaand, trolls will come out of the woodwork to defend guns anywhere where there is a call for gun control.

      • Zen Diesel

Dead troll giveaway usually start with or contain the following buzz words “Former police, military,” responsible gun owner, “lets look at the Mental Health issue”, “Videos”, 99% of gun owners are responsible,”guns are a tool”, second amendment rights.”

        • reginahny

Or as with the troll above: Jew-puppet chicken boy… vile anti-human monsters… Points for originality? Demerits for spittle flying out of corners or mouth? (Not to mention no one brought up gun banning, whatever that is.)

          • Zen Diesel

I heard a new one today, if you eliminate all gun violence by black men, gun violence would go down 50%, mass shootings would be solved….WTH.

    • D_C_Wilson

You forget the “It’s too soon after the shooting to have a debate on guns” argument.

“Another Gun Massacre and Another Powerful Reason for Stronger Gun Control Laws”
Another anti-human douchebag and how he wants to make victims MORE DEFENSELESS.

It’s douchebags like you that would declare, “Another Rape, Time to Ban Panties”.
Here’s a HINT. Try not being a brainless gutless Jew-Puppet chickenboy and propose solutions that result in the intended victims having more power to defend themselves on a personal level than criminally banning (in violation of the Constitution of the United States) the very tools that allow the victims to kill a long-range attacker.

Gun banning equals the elimination of the victims right to defend their own existence.
Gun banning equals EMPOWERING CRIMINALS to kill victims rendered helpless by vile anti-human monsters in the media like yourself.

Another fucking gun lover replacing his penis with a rifle…
People with two brain cells to rub together don’t want to make victims “MORE DEFENSELESS”, we want less fucking victims.

    • Christopher Foxx

and how he wants to make victims MORE DEFENSELESS

      What nonsense.

There is no logic or reason to the argument that the way to make people safer is to increase the number deadly weapons.

Why do the wingnuts always think that the only way to keep people safe is to heavily arm them? On the opposite extreme, if there were NO guns, then people would be safe. They never even consider that. Why? Because folks like Provate_Eyescream up there have no real interest in keeping people safe.

You were stupid from the start, but you lost at “Jew-Puppet.” Thanks for playing you ignorant racist little boy!

BTW..admit it, if you were there the only defense you would have mounted would be the urine running down your leg.

    • Victor_the_Crab

Lemme guess. You want your Jesus given right to shoot anyone that doesn’t look like you just because you feel threatened by them. You misanthropic sociopath!

Using the term “Jew-Puppet” should get you banned from the Daily Banter.

Try fucking a football while counting to a million before
typing your next post. Maybe that will be of some help.
