“Congratulations to Senator McConnell for finally coming off the sidelines and reaching a decision on Syria after Matt Bevin, all the other congressional leaders, and a majority of the public have made up their minds and it looks increasingly clear that the strikes won’t happen,” said Bevin spokeswoman Sarah Durand. “Perhaps we should call him Follower McConnell instead of Leader McConnell.”
