Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is “a wacko bird,” of course, but I wonder why he’s been singled out since he’s just about the same as Rand Paul and all the rest of the 2010 class of tea party extremists and dilettantes.
If the Republicans, and the American voters at large, are so disgusted with Cruz, they ought to take a hard look at the movement that gave rise to Cruz and his ilk. And hey, there’s an election next year during which these wackadoodles and nihilists can be summarily booted out of office — not Cruz, not yet, but the other members of Congress who are just about the same.
It won’t fully solve the dysfunctional Congress, but it’ll help.
