You could say this is a lie, but it has just the right amount of absurdity to it to make it seem believably naive. Because as long as words continue to have no meaning, the Republican party is not bound to empirical reality and they can say and believe anything.
Congressional Republicans have unanimously blocked equal pay legislation introduced by Democrats, but maybe this is a sign. As soon as they return to Washington, Harry Reid should hold a vote on equal pay legislation and ask his Republican opponents to join him.
