Tea Party Caucus Leader is on Obamacare

Written by SK Ashby

Adding to the list of people who've voted repeatedly to repeal Obamacare while taking advantage of the law, Tea Party Caucus Chairman Representative Tim Huelskamp (R-KS) admitted at a town hall meeting that he enrolled through the health insurance exchange.

“For the record, I am on ObamaCare. Yee-hah!” Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-Kan.) said during a town-hall meeting on Thursday.

“My wife complains about it all the time,” he said, according to the Clay Center Dispatch.

It's not entirely clear why "Yee-hah" was thrown in there.

As Bob pointed out last week, neither Huelskamp or his partner in crime Ted Cruz are required to enroll through a healthcare exchange. Huelskamp could enroll in an insurance policy directly through an insurer, but using an Obamacare exchange guarantees that he'll get the best deal.

Huelskamp recently blasted Speaker John Boehner for surrendering the Constitution to the Left by agreeing to fund the Department of Homeland Security. For me that begs the question: has Huelskamp surrendered to the Left by enrolling in Obamacare?

If you can't trust the chairman of the Tea Party to adhere to his principles, who can you trust?
