The Top 10 Debate

In other news, the White House said today that the president will veto any anti-Planned Parenthood bill that reaches his desk.

Meanwhile, Senator Ted Cruz spoke his mind on Mitt Romney during a private speech at the Council for National Policy.

"We have had three elections since President Obama was elected. Two of them—2010 and 2014—were national referenda on Obamacare. It was the No. 1 issue, twice. Both elections were tsunami, tidal-waves for Republicans—historic victories," Cruz said, according to an audio recording of the event obtained by National Journal.

"Now, in between the two tidal waves, the Republican Party, in its infinite wisdom, sought out and found the one human being on the face of the planet who had designed and implemented a program just like Obamacare. Literally—there are 7 billion people on Earth. You could have grabbed any other person and asked them, 'Excuse me, sir, have you designed and implemented Obamacare? No? You're a better candidate!'"

If Ted Cruz and other Republicans truly believe they won in 2010 and 2014 because of Obamacare, it's a little more clear why they still believe repealing Obamacare is a path to victory.

They couldn't be more wrong, of course. Romneycare was the least of Romney's problems. If they want to run against Obamacare in 2016, however, I welcome it.

This could be seen as another retread of the mantra that conservatism cannot fail, it can only be failed.
