In other news, a federal judge has ordered the town of Hazleton, Pennsylvania to pay $1.4 million to civil rights attorneys who successfully challenged an anti-immigrant housing ordnance authored by Kansas Secretary of State Kris "Papers Please" Kobach.

Working with Kobach is very expensive.

Meanwhile, House Democrats successfully forced a vote on a resolution to disband the Select Benghazi Committee which was tabled along party-lines 240-183.

And finally, the Senate has passed the annual National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) which President Obama has threatened to veto. The president has threatened to veto the bill because it includes an increase in defense spending which is kept off the books by using a war contingency fund. The contingency fund is not subject to spending caps.
