What do the new ATF guidelines for background checks on gun purchases mean for America?
Ask any Republican that question and you'll hear a different but equally apocalyptic answer every time, but no explanation you've heard before is as unique as Bryan Fischer's.
"If you are a danger to yourself or to others because of a mental health issue, then you can be denied the right to own a gun," Fischer said. "If you and I deny that man-caused global warming is anything to worry about, then that's going to make us a danger to others and unfit to own a gun."
I kind of wish that were true.
The good news for gun fetishists who also happen to be climate change deniers -- two groups which almost certainly overlap in a Venn diagram -- is that it isn't.
