Since 2009, Bob has been the co-host of The Bubble Genius Bob & Chez Show, a weekly political podcast. And in 2012, he launched the the subscription only podcast The After Party, also with Chez Pazienza.
Bob grew up in Northern Virginia, just outside the Beltway. He graduated from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in Political Science with a concentration on the media and the American Presidency. Bob is a self-educated historian and expert on the American Civil War, with a focus on both the battles as well as the racial and political backdrop of the war itself.
Bob's first book, a collection of essays examining the politics of fear during the "dark ride" of the Bush years, titled One Nation Under Fear, was published by Sterling & Ross in 2009.
When he's not writing about politics, Bob is also a screenwriter, director and producer, and the founder of Snark Rocket, a digital media production studio (formerly Camp Chaos). Bob has written and produced hundreds of animated shorts as well as music videos for Iron Maiden, Meat Loaf, Everclear, Yes and Motley Crue. He's also the creator of the politically charged animated sketch show ILL-ustrated which aired for two seasons on VH1 and MTV2.
Shortly after 9/11, Bob directed the award-winning independent feature film, The War Effort, a satirical documentary about the nation's post-9/11 knee-jerk patriotism. The movie won Best Picture and the Audience Award at the Delta Film Festival in the San Francisco Bay Area. It also won the Audience Award at the Nodance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, and was an official selection at the Philadelphia Film Festival, where it ran as the closing night movie.
During Bob's career in media, he's also served as a talk radio host, radio news reporter and freelance print journalist.
In his spare time, Bob is a road cycling fan (he also rides 50-100 miles a week, but not very well).
