Donald Trump is Still the Frontrunner

In recent weeks it appeared as though Ted Cruz may be close to overcoming Trumpmania but, if the latest NBC News poll released this morning is correct, Cruz wasn't as close to accomplishing that as it seemed.

Trump earned 35 percent and was trailed by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) at 18 percent and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) at 13 percent.

The real estate mogul also handily led various demographics, including men (39 percent), women (29 percent) and white evangelicals (33 percent).

If the supposedly looming Trump implosion is going to occur, there's only a few weeks left for that to happen before voting begins.

I believe if Trump wins Iowa and New Hampshire the race will be over, but I also believe he could lose both states and still win by sweeping the south.

I still say Donald Trump will drop out of the race once he has enough delegates to play kingmaker. I’m just not as certain of that as I once was.

Having said that, unless something truly terrible happens, he won’t be the next President.

    I hope.

I used to believe that. But I think he’s going to go all the way, even if that means running as a third party in the event he doesn’t get the nomination.

Either way, it will take divine intervention (or a pact with Satan) for him to actually win in November.
