Ryan Grim reports that Rahm Emanuel personally visited Reid's office and urged him to cut a deal with Lieberman. "Get it done," he reportedly said.
If accurate, Emanuel is wasting his time. Cut a deal on this and Lieberman will find something else to filibuster, and so on and so on until the bill is dead.
Who knows. Emanuel could've meant "get it done" as in "kick Lieberman in the balls."
