In other news, a group of House Republicans are calling for legislation to reverse today's FCC decision on Net Neutrality. Why do Republicans hate the Free Market?

Meanwhile, South Dakota state Representative Elizabeth May (R) is fairly certain that Common Core education had something to do with the death of eight children on a reservation. Somehow. Some way.

She said, “We’ve buried eight kids down on that reservation in the last week. We need to sit up and pay attention. I’m not naive enough to think the Common Core is the… is what’s causing all of this, but it’s part of the effect. We’ve got teachers down there who have just quit teaching it.”

Why do Republicans hate the Free Market?

Not holding my breath for anyone in the administration to that a prominent question. Gotta defer to the Republicans on the narrative.

Are you always such a negative nancy?

      • Christopher Foxx

Yes, I do try to be a realist. Do you always go for the homophobic slur?

See, you could have challenged what I actually wrote and pointed to a prominent Democrat who is clearly calling the Republicans out on their shit. (Not going to hold my breath for that one, either.) And had you done so I would have acknowledged I was wrong to say nobody does that. But you didn’t go that route, did you?

What the hell are you talking about? Homophobic slur?

Virtually every other comment you make is to declare Republicans the rhetorical winner and blame Democrats for failing to fight them even though they fight them every day.

That’s fine. I’m not here to police people’s thoughts. I was just making a friendly jab which you somehow interpreted as a slur.

Negative nancy, debbie downer, killjoy. Take your pick.

I have no idea where you got homophobic from.

What the hell are you talking about? Homophobic slur?

My bad. I didn’t realize using “nancy” as an insult was generally used to denote someone of clear masculine traits.

Virtually every other comment you make….

            Hyperbole much?

That’s fine. I’m not here to police people’s thoughts.

This whole line of discussion belies both of those claims.

I was just making a friendly jab which you somehow interpreted as a slur.

OK. Deep breath and pause on my part. I wish you’d lead with that in your last comment instead of putting it last. I’ll readily acknowledge that it’s easy to misinterpret tone in written comments. And if you truly meant your comment in a light “there you go again” manner, I’ll take it as such, apologize for my misinterpretation and trust you recognize how your comment could have come across as snide rather than “friendly”.
