Finally, Goldman Sachs has agreed to pay $5 billion in a settlement with the Department of Justice for misleading investors ahead of the collapse of mortgage-backed securities.

And this is where I understand why Bernie’s supporters are in behind him so passionately. Yeah Goldman Sachs will pay a $5 billion fine, but apparently $1 billion of it will be tax deductible and no one will ever see the inside of a jail cell. No I don’t exactly understand what Sanders wants to do about it either, outside of breaking up the banks, and I’m not exactly sure what that entails, but at least he’s as disgusted by this as I am.

And before anyone decides to call me a “Bernie Bro” (whatever the hell that is) I’ve already made up my mind to vote for Hillary. For a variety of reasons. Not the least of which is her experience and temperament.

I am a Bernie supporter but I am voting for whomever wins the Democratic nomination. This what the primaries are for. Hard line Hillary supporters are getting just as bad as the Berniebots — even around here.

I am a Hillary supporter and I too will vote for whoever is the democratic nominee. I think however, that it’s a false equivalency to say that Hillary supporters are as bad as Bernie supporters. Many of their attacks have been as ugly as any tea partier is capable of. Hillary supporters are for the most part saying that while Bernie is promising things we all want, there is very little chance that he can deliver on what he is promising and many of us believe he is unelectable.

I have read and heard Tea Party-style attacks from both sides. Even here on this site (although, usually aimed at Bernie supporters, not Hilary herself). I am not usually a “both sides do it” kind of person, but in this case IT IS both sides. There are fanatics on both sides that are using scorched earth philosophies. No one “camp” is innocent.

It IS both sides, but I have to confess the people from my (Bernie) camp are doing it with much greater frequency. 30% of them are willing to let Donald Trump become president, just to teach us a lesson. I don’t see an equivalent #HillaryorBust movement.
