Donald Trump

“It’s like being held captive”

You may think that an opportunity to travel overseas on official state visits would be something that everyone dreams of, but under Trump that is definitely not the case.

Current and former officials who spoke to CNN say traveling with Trump to any destination is unpleasant, but traveling with him overseas is actually hell on earth.

Moreover, sources say some staffers go out of their way to avoid traveling with Trump because he does not sleep and will not allow them to sleep.

"It's like being held captive," one official said of traveling with the President on Air Force One.

Trump will spend hours reviewing cable news coverage recorded on a TiVo-like device or sifting through cardboard boxes of newspapers and magazines that have been lugged aboard. He'll summon sleeping staffers to his office at moments the rest of the plane is dark, impatient to discuss his upcoming meetings or devise a response to something he saw in the media.

Trump has long insisted that he is treated unfairly by the news media, and if he sees something on television that bothers him -- "which he invariably will," one official quipped -- he instructs his staff to fix it, no matter if they are at the White House or flying over the Atlantic Ocean.

Sources who spoke to CNN also say Trump sleeps less than 4 hours at a time on Air Force One if he sleeps at all. And that makes you wonder, doesn't it? It makes me wonder how he can sleep so little, eat such shitty food, and still have the energy to do anything at all.

Drugs is my guess.

In any case, sources also say that every television on Air Force One is tuned to Fox News at all hours and seeing a bad headline on the channel during their trip will trigger Trump.

This gave me anxiety just reading about it.
