It’s Not Over

(Cartoonist - Clay Bennett)

In other news, senator and failed GOP presidential candidate Marco Rubio is now even less popular in his home state than Governor Gollum (32% vs 38%, respectively).

Meanwhile, Senator Mark Kirk has become the first Republican to un-endorse Donald Trump. Kirk is probably going to lose his seat to Tammy Duckworth.

Finally, Mitch McConnell says Donald Trump needs to "get on message" which means he should stop talking about the "Mexican" judge and resume talking about building a Mexican border wall. I guess.

It’s time for Willie Wonka to let the Bernie Bots know:

As a (former) Bernie supporter, I feel he would be a better President and is, generally, a better human. His record on, amongst other things, civil rights, is second to none. I believe he would take a serious baseball bat to Wall Street (disclaimer, I work on WS and know just how badly it need to be hit with a bat) whereas I think Clinton is more likely to use a whiffle-ball bat. I think he is more likely to to push through single-payer, and he is more likely keep us out of military conflicts and slow the growth of the “military industrial complex.”

With all that said, the fat lady was signing a while ago and he needs to get the hell out of the way so that we don’t wind up with Nader 2.0 and a *shudder* President Trump.

I like Bernie more. But he’s lost. Get over it and stop hurting our chances to have a good solid liberal President – even if she’s not perfect, she’s a hell of a lot better than the alternative.

^This. Anyone who feels that she would be worse than Trump is, it must be said, f*#!ing delusional.

She would not be worse than Trump and Bernie needs to pack it up, but none of this is an indication that Hillary Clinton is anything better than a bad to mediocre selection, who just happens to have lucked into being paired against a man who makes syphilis look good. Her record on foreign conflicts and the economy is appalling any way you cut it, her love of big money donors and corporations over constituents is undeniable, her insistence on not rocking the boat or troubling the status quo has become a Clinton tentpole, and, as Jon Stewart noted, it is hard to know where she stands on anything since her view changes depending on who is in the room and who throws the biggest wad of cash at her or the Clinton Foundation. An improvement over Trump, she definitely is. A good or inspiring candidate, she is not.

        Well said!
It too favored Bernie over Hillary (don’t tell my wife) but it’s time to unit against what has become an evil political scourge that has no interest in governing…and that’s the just the GOP.
Drumpft is a dangerously unstable and insecure sociopath supported by racists.

I might be dating myself but Rick Scott has always looked more like the Bat Boy to me.

Mark Kirk may have un-endorsed Trump but what the hell took so long? Attacking the judge was too far but everything else wasn’t?

Yeah, Trump’s way off message. Nobody’s talking about E-mailghazi-palooza.

And then, The Fat Lady elbowed Bernie right in his ballsack and then started to belt out a beautiful rendition of “I’m With Her” as Bernie withered in agonizing pain.
