Abortion Big Republican Government War On Women

Kentucky Lawmakers Approve Forced Ultrasounds

The Kentucky state Senate, which is controlled by Republicans, has approved a bill that would force women to have an ultrasound if they're seeking an abortion.

The only good news is it probably won't be approved by the state House.

The Senate voted 32-4 in passing Senate Bill 152. The four no votes were cast by Democrats.

The bill now goes to the House, which has blocked similar bills in recent sessions. House Speaker Greg Stumbo, D-Prestonsburg, had no immediate comment on the likely fate of the bill in the House this session, according to a spokesman for Stumbo's office.

The idea that government should not "get between a patient and their doctor" clearly doesn't apply to women as far as Republicans are concerned.

Republicans are not opposed to Big Government as much as they are in favor of directing the power of government at certain people.
