Lawsuit: HUD Official Demoted Over Redecoration of Ben Carson’s Office

The former chief administrator of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has filed a lawsuit against the agency alleging that she was demoted because she informed her boss Ben Carson that he was making illegal requests.

Carson wanted more money than is allowed by law for decorating his office according to the lawsuit.

A senior official in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development was demoted and told “$5,000 will not even buy a decent chair” after she refused to sign off on an expensive redecoration of Secretary Ben Carson’s office, she has alleged in a lawsuit. Helen Foster said she was replaced with a Trump appointee after telling her bosses that $5,000 was the maximum legal limit for improvements to the office suite. The former chief administrative officer of the department also said she had been punished for highlighting a $10 million accounting shortfall in the department’s budget and for protesting when she was denied access to sensitive information regarding President Trump because, according to her lawsuit, she was believed to be a Democrat. (She was registered as a Republican in 2003, The Guardian reported.)

The obvious question here is did Ben Carson replace Foster with someone who did sign off on illegal expenses? Did Carson spend more than $5,000 on his office after replacing her? Did he literally spend $5,000 on a chair? Is there even a chair in the world that costs that much? I mean, aside from one of Trump's golden toilets. Did Ben Carson buy a golden toilet?

Carson joins a growing list of other cabinet secretaries in the Trump regime who are using taxpayer dollars to furnish their lifestyles. In Carson's case, he is literally furnishing his life.

They're not draining the swamp, folks, they are the swamp.
