Obamacare Outselling PlayStation 4

This past week, Sony announced that sales of the PlayStation 4 had surpassed 7 million– worldwide.

TOKYO, April 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCE) today announced that the PlayStation®4 (PS4™) computer entertainment system has cumulatively sold through more than 7.0 million units*1 globally as of April 6, 2014(JST), demonstrating the rapid growth of the PS4 platform.

“The response from the global gaming community for PS4 has been overwhelming and we are truly humbled that gamers are selecting PS4 as their next generation console of choice,” said Andrew House, President and Group CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. “The PS4 journey has just begun, and although we are still facing difficulties keeping up with the strong demand worldwide, we remain steadfast in our commitment to meet the needs of our customers, and surpassing the wildest expectations of gamers by delivering new user experiences that inspire and engage. We look forward to unveiling many of these experiences to our fans in the coming months.”

To put this into some perspective, sales of the PlayStation 3 topped 80 million globally.

Launched in November of last year, industry executives and the professional gamer community are hailing sales of PlayStation 4 as a roaring success, being characterized as “another month, another million” for Sony PlayStation.

Which is funny because just this past week, President Obama announced that enrollment through the Affordable Care Act’s health insurance exchanges had surpassed 8 million.

I point this out to demonstrate attitudes toward the idea of success. For conservatives, the Affordable Care Act is a disaster of epic proportions, destroying the economy, while the president is an impeachable failure.

But if President Obama was heading up Sony instead of America, and moving the PlayStation 4 like Obamacare, he’d be universally praised as a titan of expanding markets overseeing a rapid growth revolution– and no amount of right wing propaganda would dare dispute it.

The fact that I got kicked off my health insurance PPO from blue cross of California because I didn’t have prenatal care or children’s dental is a bunch of bullsh*t. Especially since the Obamacare policy that was in the same price range had a deductible of $5700 while my “sub-standard” plan was $500. Oh… and to get the same coverage as I had before (with fuck*ng prenatal care and childrens dental), i’d have to shell out almost 3x the amount of money. From $143/mo to $396/mo.

I seriously can’t wait till Obama mans up and stops illegally delaying the business mandate, because instead of 7 million policies (including mine) getting canceled, it will be closer to 80 million policies. And when all you stupid low information voters get slammed with skyrocketing policy rates along go with the dozen or so new taxes that just began being implemented, you’ll have nobody to blame but yourselves. No more blaming Bush or Republicans… and I don’t want to hear any complaining. Just shut up and take your medicine.

After assuming power, Lenin referred to those who were stupid enough to blindly do his bidding during the revolution as “useful idiots”. They worshiped the man, and didn’t care whether or not his decisions were moral, lawful, or even objectionable in any way. So instead of rewarding them for their faithful service, he decided that people who would so blindly become sheep for his bidding without ever questioning authority, were far to dangerous to be left alive… resulting in the deaths of tens of millions.

Anyone who thinks it can’t or wont happen again is a useful idiot. The last 50 years have been a very small exception to a norm that’s been going on for thousands of years.

Maybe this will make your little brains think about what your government is capable of as long as their legions of useful idiots look the other way. especially since a majority of democrats polled consider The Daily Show to he real news. lol.

But that’s different! (Insert random and non-rational complaint about government, shoving things down throats, socialism, decline of Murca, personal responsibility, &c., here.)

Seriously, though, it’s an interesting comparison.
