Old Presidential Candidate Yells at Cloud

OldManCloud

As you know, this great country of ours had gone completely off the rails because women are cursing in the workplace! Gasp!

“In Iowa, you would not have people who would just throw the f-bomb and use gratuitous profanity in a professional setting,” Huckabee said. “In New York, not only do the men do it, but the women do it!

The women are cursing!

He continued: “This would be considered totally inappropriate to say these things in front of a woman.” But “for a woman to say them in a professional setting,” Huckabee went on, “that’s just trashy!

Please, Mike Huckabee, please run for president. Mike Huckabee is the presidential candidate this country needs.

    Oh, good grief.

Mike Huckabee actually believes Iowans don’t swear in “professional settings” and that women only swear in them evil big cities? Does he also believe in leprechauns and unicorns?

Huckabee is either delusional or the most obvious panderer in the country.

I think he believes that the people coming to see him believe that “good, Christian women” don’t do those things. That’s the implication, right? “Only Godless heathens (not you people sitting here in this room with me, of course) who think they know better than God would behave that way.”

      • muselet

With Mike Huckabee, there’s a thin veneer of sincerity on everything he says. In this case, it’s less “you good people” and more “we good people” are offended by those godless heathens and their drinkin’ and dancin’ and cussin’.

I remain uncertain if he’s delusional or pandering (or a bit of both).

I think originally he may have been delusional, but when he proved he could play with the big boys on the national stage, it became pandering.

      I vote for panderer.

So… Along with outright cursing, presumably the Huckster doesn’t like the little ladies speaking in a generally coarse and distasteful way? Like Palin, with her screw Hollywood comment, her yeah FU Michael Moore autograph on the sign, frequent references to men’s cajones, big sticks, being limp, impotent, accusations of rape and pedophilia against any man that doesn’t worship her or dares to criticize her, and on and on and on. And her trashy barfly/hooker fashion sense.

Chez called it on one of the Youtube posts. For Huckabee it is all about the edges against the middle and resentment of the “elite.” Which is the last thing anyone who wants to be president should be worrying about let alone going out of there way to stoke.

There are so many crazy, out of touch, bad Republicans wanting to run for President that their clown car is turning into a candy store. Democrats and liberals are going to have too much to choose from and are going to end up just a cacophony of sugar-addled screeching, jumping from bat shit crazy comment to bat shit crazier comment.

    Hopefully not.

    • aynwrong

      So…both sides….
      No. Sorry. Not buying it.
There maybe liberals who need to get there priorities straight but at least they are concerned about things that exist in reality. The GOP is still doing their best to turn Benghazi into the next Roswell or grassy knoll.

I am not saying “both sides” will be doing it. I am saying the right will be so full of crazy that the left will have a target rich environment for mocking and ridiculing that the criticisms will become unfocused and have no continuity or “branding” that is necessary to win a national campaign.

        • aynwrong

Okay. Clearly I missed your point. Apologies.
Respectfully though I still disagree. Assuming you are saying that this will hurt the left. I agree that it is more important to have a positive message about your own side than it is to be able to poke holes in the other. But the clown car didn’t keep President Obama from winning reelection.

          • ninjaf

I am saying that the left needs to stay focused and not get distracted too much by the noise from the right. President Obama was able to win the election last time, despite (because of?) the clown car. But there was no primary process for the Democrats the last time, either, so it was easy to keep the message focused and be the grown ups in the room.

This time, Democrats will also be going through the primary process at the same time as the clown car is making its rounds. My concern is that Democrats will live up to their “herding cats” nature and not be able to focus on their own message for the whole party, while Republicans will live up to their authoritarian nature and follow the talking points handed down from “on high,” no matter who is driving the clown car for the day.

          • aynwrong

OK. That is a real concern.

          • bphoon

It also didn’t keep the GOP from very nearly sweeping state level elections in 2014. That’s where most of the real damage is being done, at least from the perspective from here in Brownbackistan.
