In other news, Nevada Senate candidate Joe Heck was caught on tape at a fundraiser admitting that he would “really” like to support Donald Trump but he can’t because it’s bad for his image.

This is equally bad if not worse.

Meanwhile, the RNC and Trump campaign (and Gary Johnson, but who cares?) apparently forgot to submit a bio for official voter pamphlets in Alaska.

Finally, McCain is now walking back his pledge to block President Clinton’s Supreme Court nominees. I don’t believe him. Republicans will filibuster.

In case Senator McCain was wondering, Clarence Thomas replaced one of the great liberal jurist of our time, Thurgood Marshall. He did not do this for any other reason than that the person making the nomination to the Court was, at that time, a Republican. That is how it works. They have held up President Obama’s nomination of Merrick Garland now for close to a year. That is bad enough. They claimed to be doing this so that We the People could have some input into that decision through the up coming election. And now McCain is basically showing that up for what it was, a lie. What a surprise.
They are seeking to abuse the advice and consent powers bestowed on the Congress and basically obstruct appointments to the courts and especially the Supreme Court. The GOP does not get to hold Scalia’s seat or any other jurists seat open until such time as they can put in who they want. Elections have consequences.
And the Supreme Court is held responsive to the national will through those elections.

They claimed to be doing this so that We the People could have some input into that decision through the up coming election.

Which, like all claims the Republicans make, is a nonsensical bunch of bullshit wrapped in dog crap.

We the People made our decision four years ago when we elected Obama to serve a full four year term. We didn’t elect him to serve three years and then be stripped of power. He’s President until Clinton is sworn in and he’s the one we chose to nominate people for any Court vacancies right up to that day.

Exactly right. Thank you for pointing that out. They have already engaged in an unconstitutional obstruction of the proper role and functioning of the executive branch.

Depicting the Orange Moron with tentacles is appropriate given H.P. Lovecraft’s deep seated White Supremacy.
