In other news, the Washington Post caught up with voters in Kentucky who voted for Republican lunatic Matt Bevin, a man who ran on a platform of repealing healthcare for over 400,000 people.

On Election Day, Blackburn voted for Bevin because he is tired of career politicians and thought a businessman would be more apt to create the jobs that Pike County so needs. Yet when it comes to the state’s expansion of health insurance, “it doesn’t look to me as if he understands,” Blackburn said two days later. “Without this little bit of help these people are giving me, I could probably die. . . . It’s not right to not understand something but want to stamp it out.”

There was a lot of hoopla last week about low voter turnout, but that's a bit of a misnomer. Some of the poorest counties in Kentucky that rely on Medicaid voted for Bevin by overwhelming margins of 40 to 60 percent. What evidence is there that higher turnout necessarily would have led to a different result?

Meanwhile, Doctor Ben Carson says drug addiction is caused by political correctness. Are we sure Ben Carson went to medical school?

And finally, former GOP Rep. Michele Bachmann tell us Jesus is "coming soon" to, I don't know, rapture us. Or something.
