Planned Parenthood Has Been Cleared of Wrongdoing, Again

Not surprisingly, the attorney general for the state of Washington has cleared Planned Parenthood of wrongdoing in the state after finding "no indication" otherwise.

In a 48-page report, Attorney General Bob Ferguson rejected claims that Planned Parenthood has performed partial-birth abortions or that any of its clinics sell fetal tissue for profit “rather than simply recovering costs.”

“We found no indication that procedures performed by Planned Parenthood are anything other than performance of a legally authorized medical procedure,” Ferguson wrote in his report.

Not that any of this matters to the Select Planned Parenthood Committee which is still a thing.

Aside from the Senate's failed attempt to defund Planned Parenthood through reconciliation, the GOP has all but dropped Planned Parenthood as a primary issue. Planned Parenthood is yesterday's news. Their new pet issue is the resettlement of Syrian refugees.

They may seem far removed from each other but these fake scandals have something in common. The GOP case against both of them has no factual basis.

The next fake scandal, whatever it is, won't be any different.

The Rs are trying as hard as they can to manufacture a scandal—no, a SCANDAL!—in time for the 2016 elections, but keep tripping on their own shoelaces.

I’ve never been so relieved that the Rs are incompetent.

Because making up fake scandals to get outraged about is easier than actually having to deal with real problems.

Well, since they have no viable solutions to real problems, manufactured scandals is about all they have left.

Republicans stopped living in a reality-based world a long time ago. Facts? Truth? No… give us gut feelings and truthiness!
