Election 2016 Poll

Poll: Trump Has a Big Lead Among Secessionists

Written by SK Ashby

A new poll conducted Public Policy Polling (PPP) found that Donald Trump leads Hillary Clinton by just 6 percent in the state of Texas, making it a closer race than typical "battleground" states like Virginia.

They also found that a not-insignificant portion of Trump's lead in Texas comes from secessionists.

If you look at the Presidential race in Texas only among voters who are opposed to seceding from the United State, Clinton leads Trump 54/41. But that's offset by Trump's 72/20 advantage with the secession crowd. If Clinton is elected President this fall, the Trump voters really want out- in that case 61% say they'd support seceding from the United States, to only 29% who would stick around.

PPP also found that 71 percent of Trump's supporters in Texas believe the election will be rigged and, among those, 40 percent of them believe ACORN will do the rigging.

ACORN was shut down 6 years ago.

Four years from now I expect to read another poll showing that a majority of Republican voters still believe ACORN is a thing.
