Election 2016

President Obama Officially Endorses Hillary Clinton

President Obama officially endorsed Hillary Clinton for president today in a video released by the Clinton campaign in which he praises her level of experience and her service as Secretary of State.

The president will reportedly hit the campaign trail to support Clinton next week beginning in Wisconsin.

We haven't had a sitting president who is popular and scandal-free enough to campaign for a party nominee in a very, very long time.

Barack Obama has been wanting to make that video for a long time. Making a point of congratulating Bernie Sanders for the good he did in the campaign was a graceful gesture which i hope will be accepted as such by Sanders’s supporters.

An attack dog he’s not, but that’s not what’s needed in the campaign for the general. A calm, rational voice—a presidential voice—will be more effective against Donald Trump. I don’t look forward to much of what the next five months will bring, but I do look forward to seeing Barack Obama campaigning again, this time with nothing (personally) to lose.

It feels so good to finally see this happening. Now I’m hoping that once Bernie drops out he hits the campaign trail for Hillary as hard as possible and at least convinces his supporters to vote for Clinton even if it’s just to vote against Trump.

I loved Hillary’s “Delete your account”, this should be interesting.
