Pro-Gun Lawmaker: Syrian Refugees Might Buy Guns

Texas state Representative Tony Dale (R), a man with an A+ rating from the NRA who has fought for the proliferation of guns, says Texas should not accept Syrian refugees because they might buy guns.

“While the Paris attackers used suicide vests and grenades,” Dale wrote, “it is clear that firearms also killed a large number of innocent victims. Can you imagine a scenario were [sic] a refugees [sic] is admitted to the United States, is provided with federal cash payments and other assistance, obtains a drivers license and purchases a weapon and executes an attack?” He urged the lawmakers to “do whatever you can to stop the [Syrian refugee] program.”

I don't see the problem here.

Conservative folklore tells us that all you need to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. There are plenty of those in Texas, right?

If Dale is so concerned about gun-toting refugees, he should support universal background checks for all gun purchases. He may want to support that even if not a single refugee is ever relocated to Texas because people are killed every single day by guns.

The proliferation of guns in America is a very real threat that harms Americans every single day. Gun-toting refugee killers are a far-fetched theoretical threat. Gun-toting American killers are real and they're here right now.

Statistically speaking, there's a high probability that an American citizen living in Texas will "execute an attack" using a gun within several hours of me writing this. A Texas man was arrested yesterday morning for killing 6 people.

If you believe using "federal cash payments or other assistance" to buy guns is a real problem (it isn't), those same concerns should also be applied to poor white people, not just refugees.

American gun manufacturers would LOVE to sell each and every refugees lots and lots of guns. The merchants of death don’t care who kills who as long as the money keeps rolling in.

Yes, as a matter of fact I can imagine such a scenario. On the other hand, I don’t have to imagine a disgruntled male, armed to the teeth with firearms of all description, blasting away indiscriminately, because that seems to happen in this country every few days.

Oh, and Representative Dale? Throwing in a gratuitous reference to government assistance was a dick move, above and beyond the dick move of arguing that every Syrian refugee might be a Da’esh terrorist.

Tony Dale is a bigot and a coward who is appealing to the worst instincts of other bigots and cowards.

Tony Dale will never grasp that. Because there’s nothing to be concerned about from white people. It’s only the darker folks we have to worry about having guns. How can you not see that?

It shall not be infringed, right Mr. Dale?

Dale the Dumbfuck meant it to be only for the white law abiding Christians, not the scary evil dark skinned “furriners” like “Mooslums” and the N-word they badly want to say, who would no doubt, in Dale the Dumbfuck’s sick mind, use them on the white law abiding Christians.

      • Draxiar

I can only hope that Mr. Dale gets beaten over the head with “shall not be infringed”. It won’t happen but I can hope.

It shall not be infringed, right Mr. Dale?

For white people, Draxiar. For white people.

Oh yeah…I totally understand the game they play. I’m just tossing their words back at them…not that they even read my comments but y’know…I have to say something.

Yep, I’ve made this point for years but everyone always deflects.
