Putin’s Goal

In other news, the Daily Beast reports that the unnamed congressmen referenced in yesterday's indictment of Russian spy Maria Butina are Reps. Dana Rohrabacher and Gregory Meeks

Meanwhile, court records show that special prosecutor Robert Mueller has offered immunity to at least 5 individuals who will testify against Trump's former campaign manager Paul Manafort.

Finally, the Washington Post reports that the NSA and the Pentagon's cyber command are making their own plans to deal with Russian interference since the White House has not provided them any direction.

It’s more than a little disappointing to see reporting like this on a Democrat. Expect to hear from the “both sides” caucus in the media about this.

At this point I have to assume that Manafort is still holding out because he is more afraid of the Russians than Mueller. Which is not hard to understand. I was also going to say that I assume Manafort isn’t foolish enough to hold any loyalty to Donald Trump but he was stupid enough to try and tamper with witnesses. Twice.

The NSA going ahead without the White House is for the best. No one there has any interest in preventing Russian meddling from happening again and they’d probably muck it up if they did.

    • I think it’s safe to assume that Butin (sp?) the Russian we arrested won’t say boo either. After all look what Putin did to Skripal for talking?

Preventing Russian meddling? Hells bells, trump and his handler Putin probably inked a deal formalizing trump’s request for more Russian meddling in our elections, and exactly what trump would be expected to do and say and provide to Putin as payment. Those mid-terms are coming up fast.
