Report: Jared Kushner Uses Private Email for Government Business

Written by SK Ashby

Having just spent several years and an entire election cycle litigating the use of a private email server, Republicans would never do that themselves that, would they?

Ha!

Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner is reportedly conducting official government business through a private email account.

Kushner uses his private account alongside his official White House email account, sometimes trading emails with senior White House officials, outside advisers and others about media coverage, event planning and other subjects, according to four people familiar with the correspondence. POLITICO has seen and verified about two dozen emails.

“Mr. Kushner uses his White House email address to conduct White House business,” Abbe Lowell, a lawyer for Kushner, said in a statement Sunday. “Fewer than 100 emails from January through August were either sent to or returned by Mr. Kushner to colleagues in the White House from his personal email account. These usually forwarded news articles or political commentary and most often occurred when someone initiated the exchange by sending an email to his personal rather than his White House address.”

The New York Times editorial board, Jason Chaffetz, Trey Gowdy, Paul Ryan, Fox News, and even Trump himself will have a conniption over this, right?

No?

Kushner's lawyer may say he has sent or received "fewer than 100 emails" at his private address, but how do we know that for sure? How will we know unless we hold dozens of hearings on the matter over the course of four years?

I'm only half joking. The next time Democrats regain control of all or even part of Congress, a rotorooter of the Trump regime will be necessary, and not just to settle grudges. The Trumps are doing untold damage to the government that we don't even know about yet.
