Report: Trump Skips Most Intelligence Briefings

Written by SK Ashby

Despot-elect Donald Trump is entitled to daily intelligence briefings but, according to the Washington Post, Trump has skipped the overwhelming majority of briefings afforded to him.

The Post reports that Trump has chosen to receive only two briefings since the election.

President-elect Donald Trump has received two classified intelligence briefings since his surprise election victory earlier this month, a frequency that is notably lower — at least so far — than that of his predecessors, current and former U.S. officials said.

A team of intelligence analysts has been prepared to deliver daily briefings on global developments and security threats to Trump in the two weeks since he won. Vice President-elect Mike Pence, by contrast, has set aside time for intelligence briefings almost every day since the election, officials said.

Trump's people say the despot-elect is too busy selecting his cabinet during parties with Fabio to make time for intelligence briefings.

Pence's choice to receive the briefings almost every day, while Trump bumbles through his days at the Mar-a-Lago, lends credence to the idea that he could be the Cheney to Trump's Bush.
