In other news, the New York Times reports that Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, advised him during the early days of the coronavirus pandemic that the media was exaggerating the threat.

Meanwhile, the European Union has voted to close their borders for the next 30 days at least.

Finally, China is expelling American journalists in retaliation for the Trump regime's recent decision to expel Chinese journalists.

BEIJING (Reuters) - China announced early on Wednesday that it was retaliating against U.S. restrictions on Chinese journalists, with actions that include rescinding the press credentials of American correspondents with the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Washington Post.

The move escalates a tit-for-tat between China and the United States over resident foreign media that saw Washington this month slash the number of Chinese nationals permitted to work at the U.S. offices of major Chinese state-owned media outlets.

The President of the United States of America took advice from his slumlord son in law on how to respond to a worldwide viral outbreak. Meanwhile, Dana Bash on CNN was gushing over Trump’s “tone” of leadership I presume because he managed to speak for several minutes at a time without coughing up a fur ball. Naturally no one rolled their eyes at her, chuckled, sighed in disgust or very subtly smacked her upside the the head with a dead fish.

    The liberal media strikes again!

Roy Edroso has wearied of the praise:

This is as if a mass murderer paused his shooting spree to get a drink of water and people said, “Note his new tone, there’s every indication that he has rediscovered his humanity.”

(Edroso was referring specifically to what Philip Klein wrote at the Washington Examiner, but it applies equally to most mainstream coverage.)
