President Barack Obama is coming to the Capitol this afternoon to curry favor with congressional Republicans. But it appears GOP leaders have already made up their minds to oppose his $825 billion stimulus plan. [...] House Republican Leader John A. The Republicans are acting like they still control Congress. And the cable news people are treating them that way.
Here's to hoping the president goes to the Hill and tells Boehner and Cantor two things: 1) Eff you both -- the concessions made to the Republicans in the current versions of the bill are going to be violently yanked out and replaced with infrastructure projects, and 2) If you keep banging on your pots, you won't have any pots left!
Actually, that's two ways of saying the same thing, but there you go.
