Racism Super Stupid

Sean Hannity is a Racist Moron

Media Matters flagged this clip from Sean Hannity's radio show yesterday where he offered to buy President Obama a plane ticket to Kenya.

HANNITY: "I have an offer for the president. I will charter a plane for you and your family. I will make sure it's as big a plane as Air Force One, what you have grown accustom to, in other words. Taxpayer-funded plane. I don’t know where I’m going to get it. Maybe I'll ask Trump if I can charter his plane for Obama. I will charter Donald Trump's plane if he'll let me, and I will charter it to the country of your choice. You want to go to Canada? I'll pay for you to go to Canada. You want to go to Kenya? I'll pay for you to go to Kenya. Jakarta, where you went to school back in the day, you can go back there. Anywhere you want to go. I'll put the finest food, caviar, champagne, you name it. I have one stipulation, you can't come back."

Why would Sean Hannity think President Obama is planning to move to Canada?

Hannity apparently fell for a fake, satirical news story that said the president was considering moving to Canada if Donald Trump wins the election. The president would hardly be the only one to consider doing so and far from the only one to make a similar joke, but any person in their right mind would consider checking to make sure the president actually said that before blasting him for it.

President Obama never said he was considering moving to Canada, but Hannity definitely offered to fly him back to Kenya. Because, you know, that's his real home, right? Get it?

I know the editorial standards at Fox News are exceedingly low, but it's difficult to see how the network justifies keeping Hannity on board after the election. Moderate, non-racist conservatives, if such a thing exists, should hope Hannity is jettisoned after the race. He's a poison on the electorate and shameless propagandist who will gladly promote the next Trump wannabe.

Hannity was called out by journalists on Twitter last night for his dumbassery to which he replied that he is not a journalist.

Good to know.

And this is a huge problem that I have with viewers of Fox News that act like everything said there is Gospel truth. They have this line-up of ignorant, bigoted shills who spend their entire on air time screeching like banshees about one made-up non-troversy after another so long as the targets are liberal or Democrats, but if anything goes on with a Republican or a self-identified conservative, the channel has the sounds of crickets…all while chanting that their motto is “fair and balanced.”

A good example: They have spent the last 15+ years smearing Hillary Clinton by disseminating every unsubstantiated made up bit of salacious nonsense from the bottom of the swamp hoping something will stick. They have spent an inordinate amount of time trolling Michelle Obama for any imagined faux pas or overblown bit of lies and blowing them out of proportion. And Fox News viewers can quote you chapter and verse of all of these nearly universally discredited wet farts and insist that they are still pertinent. Clinton has been tarred by insinuations from nearly every member of this worthless channel as being everything from a modern Lady MacBeth to an outright murderer ordering assassinations from her throne to a lesbian who cannot satisfy her sexual predator husband – all with either no evidence at all (other than conservatives “gut feelings”) or the most spurious testimony from the most obvious bottom feeders. Yet ask a Fox News viewer whether they were aware that Laura Bush was responsible in a questionable fatal car accident for which she skated off scot-free and they are immediately dumb-founded and think it must be a lie. I always remember when a member of Fox News was put on the spot about this, they came back with that it was a very sore subject with Mrs. Bush and they “did not like to upset the First Lady.” HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Since when has Fox News EVER been concerned about upsetting a First Lady? Apparently, this concern only exists when the First Lady is a Republican. If the First Lady is a Democrat, then they obviously don’t give a yellow turd whether they upset anyone with unsubstantiated lies and innuendo.

And then, of course, they always have their get out of jail free card. The old “oh but I am not a journalist” routine and therefor they don’t have to tell the truth or act like human beings, or be bound by such tiresome things like honesty and integrity. Hannity spouts this, O’Reilly has spouted it. So did Beck when he was a Fox News wunderkind. And let us not forget, that Fox News was trying to tell the Canadian government at one point that they were not a “news channel” but an “entertainment channel”. So we have a huge chunk of the conservative population of the world treating their news source as inerrant, while the news source claims it really isn’t a news source (it’s something else entirely) and its spokespeople insist they are not bound by any journalistic integrity because none of them have any responsibility to vet their stories. No wonder why there are so many darn stupid people running around on the Republican side of the aisle.

“A White House aide failed to deny rumors that President Barack Obama is planning to leave the United States if Trump wins the … White House … if Trump wins the election.”

Sean Hannity admitted on-air that the “rumors” started with a phony story on a Canadian satirical website, but he and some of the other dimmer corners of Righty media ran with the story as if it were a real story being reported by a real news site.

The “aide” in question was Josh Earnest, who was probably laughing too hard to give more than an anodyne answer to the inane questions.

No, Sean Hannity isn’t a journalist. He’s also not going to get fired by FNC because nobody can talk up a lunatic Righty candidate quite like he can (it’s a gift).

According to Republicans there is no such thing as racism. There’s only such a thing as “playing the race card.” Then one of their favorite assholes pundits offers a one way ticket to Kenya for the first Black president. I don’t even know what to say anymore.

One of the things that the departure of Ailes very quickly proved is the fact that Hannity is a moron with a little wind up toy monkey for a brain. He’s out of his depth. The other night he interviewed a former editor of the defunct Weekly World News about Hillary Clinton being a “sex freak” and a “lesbian.” The same guy who ran stories about Hillary giving birth to an Extra Terrestrial’s “out of wedlock” baby (The out of wedlock part makes it a classic).

Without Ailes he’s little more than a rudderless blunt object.

The bitter bile of offended white privilege oozing from his pie-hole in that screed is sickening to behold. Fuck off, Hannity.
