Is Marco Rubio running for reelection? While the senator previously ruled the possibility out while he was running for president, Rubio is no longer sure.

While Rubio says he's not willing to give a straight answer at this point, he will say the deadly shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando has touched him.

In an interview with "The Hugh Hewitt Show" on Monday, Rubio said the shooting has left him thinking about service to his country and community, though he stopped short of saying he was reconsidering his decision to not run for reelection to the Senate.

“I haven’t even given it thought in that perspective, other than to say that I’ve been deeply impacted by it, and I think when it visits your home state, and it impacts a community you know well, it really gives you pause to think a little bit about, you know, your service to your country and where you can be most useful to your country,” Rubio said.

Rubio called for banning gay marriage during his presidential campaign.
Rubio has called for appointing SCOTUS justices who would ban gay marriage.
Rubio is against passing laws that prohibit discrimination in the workplace.
Rubio said he'd repeal President Obama's executive orders on discrimination.
Rubio recorded robo-calls for the anti-gay National Organization for Marriage.
Rubio opposes allowing LGBT couples to adopt children.

For Rubio to say the shooting has prompted him to reconsider his service to his country and community is sickening.

Once again confirming his status as the world’s foremost empty suit. The only positive thing about the gop primaries were the revealing of Rubio, Christie and Bush as empty shells of people. Everything else about the primary goes in the negative column.

If Marco Rubio is truly thinking about “your service to your country and where you can be most useful to your country,” I have a suggestion for him: go away. That would be the most useful thing he could possibly do for the United States.

  • He’s been trying to enact the hate-filled agenda of the American Taliban for years and I wholeheartedly agree.
