In other news, health officials say new cases of Hepatitis C have risen 300 percent because of the opioid epidemic. Experts say limited access to Medicaid is partially to blame. Access could become much more limited if Republicans have their way.

Meanwhile, New Hampshire state Rep. Robert Fisher (R), the creator of the pro-rape "Red Pill" Reddit group could soon be expelled from office.

Finally, the Trump regime has denied 99 percent of the money requested by North Carolina for disaster recovery.

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The State of North Carolina requested $929 million from the federal government to help with costs associated with Hurricane Matthew, but the state will be receiving far less than that, according to an announcement by Gov. Roy Cooper.

North Carolina will receive only $6.1 million from the Trump administration. That’s 99 percent less than the requested amount.

Here's a thing:

Also, Rep. Fisher…cry me a river on your way out the door, would ya?

NC was one of “his” states in the election, too, even if only narrowly. The people he is denying aid in eastern NC are mostly the ones who voted for him. The western half of the state has the bluer cities. The eastern half of the state also has Fort Bragg and other military bases on the coast, too. I wonder if they will remember how much he was willing to help come 2018, or even 2020?

    • I would bet they won’t remember.

Yeah, conveniently, they will forget or rationalize with “well, the Dems would’ve been worse for us.” smh

North Carolina is nothing more then a spoiled brat when it comes to hurricane relief. That money has more important duties like ice cream and trips to the golf course.

Chez (R.I.P. brother) used to say that he was worried that if California experienced a major earthquake during the Trump regime Trump would withhold proper assistance because of how overwhelmingly the state went for Hillary. I know that NC went for Trump, but I believe it was by a thin margin and the state has seen some very consistent protesting due to Rev. Barber’s Moral Mondays movement that would hardly be Trump friendly. I wouldn’t put it past Trump to exact that kind of vengeance.

Only one scoop of ice cream might be a part of Trump’s “skinny budget.”

I really want to read a Chez article on the ridiculous buffoonery that is the trump crisis. I miss that man.

        Same.
