Michael Schiavo Shreds the Jeb! Campaign For Using His Wife

Terri Schiavo's husband, Michael Schiavo, has a few thoughts on the pro-Jeb Right to Rise PAC using his late wife in a South Carolina campaign ad.

From the Tampa Bay Times

"It is simply disgusting that Jeb Bush and his super Pac would exploit my wife’s tragedy for his crude political gain. Shame on Jeb Bush," said Michael Schiavo, Terri's husband, who said she did not want to be kept alive in that state and was repeatedly challenged by Bush and Schiavo's parents and siblings.

"Using his disgraceful intervention in our family’s private trauma to advance his political career shows that he has learned nothing. He’s proud of the fact that he used the machinery of government to keep a person alive through extraordinary artificial means -- contrary to the orders of the court that were based on the courts determination, made over 6 years of litigation, that doing so would be against her wishes," he said. "What the campaign video shows is that if he ever got his hands on the power of government again, he would do the same thing again, maybe next time to your family."

The Right to Rise ad featuring Schiavo promotes Jeb as "a man of deep faith who fought time and again for the right to life."

I agree, that's pretty disgusting.

Unfortunately the Schiavo family lived in a state with a republican governor.
Citizens of Michigan, Louisiana and Wisconsin all have similar problems.
Get your asses out to vote during midterms and life will be much better for all humanity.

  • What a nightmare the Schiavo case was. As was the fact that we’re so cowardly as a society to recognize a right to die that we had to let her body starve to death rather than peacefully and quickly use medicine.

The Right to Rise ad featuring Schiavo promotes Jeb as “a man of deep faith who fought time and again for the right to life of the gov’t to shit all over your personal liberty.”

I don’t blame Michael Schiavo for being angry about that ad. He showed great restraint in not calling Jeb! Bush at least one of the things I’m sure he wanted to.

Right to Rise produced a despicable ad and, by not immediately denouncing it, Jebbie proved himself a repellent little man unfit to be elected president of a homeowners’ association (I’d suspected before, now I know).

      “Right to Rise “

Ironic. Given his campaign’s complete inability rise at all. Jeb! should consider himself lucky that Trump never took notice. The Viagra jokes would have been brutal.

In conservative media Michael Schiavio was relentlessly smeared as a murderer so whatever damage this could do to him would have to wait until the general. Among the base this would have minimal effect.
