In other news, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) has drafted a bill to "completely abolish" the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), as one does. I actually don't see this happening because I don't think Trump wants to fire his own nominee for the EPA. At least not yet.

Meanwhile, here's a ridiculous story. One of Trump's Supreme Court hopefuls drove down a highway just to create the illusion of competition. It was all for show, and yet Trump's first prime time address still drew lower ratings than Obama's first address did. He must be so mad.

Finally, it looks like Michael Flynn didn't consult the relevant agencies before he popped off and said Iran is "on notice."

Centcom learned about it by watching TV.

“We saw the statement as well,” said a spokesman for US central command, which runs operations in the Middle East. “This is still at the policy level, and we are waiting for something to come down the line. We have not been asked to change anything operationally in the region.”

This seems to happen a lot under the Trump regime.

I bought a box of White Castles today. I haven't had a White Castle since I moved to Ohio 5 years ago. Unfortunately, I forgot to buy Dusseldorf mustard.

This cartoon is an instant classic as far as I am concerned. So succinctly encapsulates the lunacy of the Trump inner circle.

I think “lower ratings than Obama” will become a catch phrase to describe the Little Emperor. This group is so busy threatening people who criticize them they don’t have much time left for anything else. It would seem. According to reports, while Twitler was not in the situation room during the Yemen strike, he did seem to find time to be attacking the New York Times with tweets.

    • For some reason Little Lord Fauntleroy popped into my head when I saw Drumpf in a cartoon the other day and again with your use of “Little Emperor”.

Sadly, LLF got a bum rap over the years as some sort of sissified pretentious jerk. In reality, he was an exemplary young person who taught his elders much about character and goodness:

“However, the Earl is impressed by the appearance and intelligence of his American grandson and is charmed by his innocent nature. Cedric believes his grandfather to be an honorable man and benefactor, and the Earl cannot disappoint him. He therefore becomes a benefactor to his tenants, to their delight, though takes care to let them know that their benefactor is the child, Lord Fauntleroy.

“The Earl planned to teach his grandson how to be an aristocrat. Instead, Cedric teaches his grandfather that an aristocrat should practice compassion towards those dependent on him. He becomes the man Cedric always innocently believed him to be.” (Wikipedia)

Trump is more like the emperor who had no clothes, though mercifully we have been spared that so far.

        • I know the character was actually a good person but the pop culture reference was too good to pass up especially with his little hands.

I get the impression that Sean Spicer is more or less treated like this in the Trump White House:

He would be the one trying yo get up the escalator.
