  • Also too, if you haven’t seen Trevor Noah outside of the regular part of The Daily Show then you are truly missing out. Even as young as he is, he is quite wise and very, very woke. The Daily Show format really doesn’t do him justice. There was this one video of him with a bunch of other actors talking about relationships
in a round table convo and his maturity and intellect just blew me away. Here’s a link if you’re interested.

Edited to add: That’s just an advertisement the full thing is on Netflix.

  • When people start to disappear, it’s too late. And there already have been some people disappearing…all those immigrant children. They are our Los Desaparecidos.

Think about this story on the surface level, then think about the fact that this exec had to hire another person just to accept their high dollar wine purchases. This guy stole hundreds of thousands of dollars worth (over five hundred bottles) of wine and the owner never even noticed. Ok, what does this say when the average American doesn’t have a year’s worth of savings, is living paycheck to paycheck and can’t afford healthcare?

  • BTW – good work, gentlemen. You guys brang it. Keep doin’ that.

  • Greed becomes insatiable. Once you’ve let it in and allowed it to incubate, it’ll crowd out everything else until you’re no longer able even to identify what it is you’re greedy for.

Put that together with a successful effort to embed Prideful Ignorance in the rubes’ programming (primarily to get them to misidentify the people who’ve been fucking them over for 40 years), and all you have to do is tell them what you want them to want.

    And speaking of wind-up toys:

I’m amazed that the right thinks anything at all positive will come from the shambolic disaster that was the Kavanaugh Debacle. I’m still hoping we can get a full investigation of him. Until Rump’s taxes are revealed, or he’s indicted, the right will enjoy their pride of stupidity. Getting tired of the media’s continued normalization of Rump and this dire situation. The worst of Russian interference we simply won’t know about..I don’t believe they “won’t” interfere..they’ve been successful so why wouldn’t they continue? Yeah..I’m worried too that we simply won’t get our voters to turn out. Plus, ppl underestimate the children of Repubs registering and voting R. Noah’s monologue points out Rump’s not greatest, but only turn accusation into victim hood. He’s turned all the accusations against himself into not only becoming a victim, but preemptively into accusations against others. The right has adopted this by saying “the left uses propaganda, the left has the liberal media (Fox, Breitbart) etc etc. When the right or Rump make a claim the other party is doing something, you can bet with certainty that they themselvesare the ones guilty of it.

If current trends hold (i.e. global warming doesn’t make the west/southwest so dry it starts driving population away), by 2040 70% of the population will live in only 15 states. In other words, less than 1/3 of the population will control over 2/3 of the Senate’s voting power. That is simply an untenable situation, a true tyranny of the minority. And this is not a Red/Blue issue, Texas, Florida, North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona and purple states like Ohio should all be the largest 15 in 2040.

Bob Cesca, Mr Don’t Get Happy, is telling us “It looks good” on the Russian hacking front despite Congress opening the barn door for them AGAIN. Bob…..

Awesome get, Bob! Anthony Atamanuik is also my favourite Drumpf impersonator by far. One of the reasons he’s brilliant at it is that he fully captures Drumpf’s dark side. His reaction to his surprise birthday party fake Mike Pence staged for him at a Queens greasy spoon is solid proof of it. Looking forward to the 22nd.
