Watching Hardball right now (listen to you during commercials).. Heard Chris say that Trump had every intention of firing Tillerson while he was in Nairobi … to ‘stick it to him’… to humiliate him on foreign soil in front of a foreign government.. and that John Kelly talked him out of it..

There is only one significant change that Snowden brought about and that was he provided evidence that provided standing in the ACLU suit against the wholesale collection of the phone records of American citizens.
I believe the three hops from a contact with a suspected or known terrorist was changed to two hops. Other than that, I can’t think of anything. He is suddenly against torture but supported trump. Was he unaware that trump frequently talked of bringing back torture during his campaign? Hilary Clinton did not and does not and has never supported the use of torture. I have always found Snowden to be an inconsistent phony or liar, take your pick.
In actual fact, I think he helped the Soviets in that they saw the US taking apart its own cyber defenses and Putin saw that as a opening. He took ‘asylum’ in what is a ruthless police state that just made a chemical weapons attack on our oldest and closest ally, England. The “cognitive dissonance” is deafening.

  • I have to disagree with Buzz….Tillerson did quite a lot of harm to the State Dept. The one policy position that he agreed with Trump was regarding “small government”. As a result, the State Department is an empty husk of what it used to be. So between his incompetence and his purposeful failure to fill many important positions, the State Dept experienced a massive brain drain. It’s take many years to accumulate the experience necessary for those people and I doubt too many of them will return from private enterprise once Trump is out of office. Unfortunately, it will probably take at least a decade to replace them and that is ONLY if the next President understands the risk he or she will be facing without them. And we’ve already seen that the GOP just doesn’t get it or doesn’t care about the risk.

Meanwhile China arms itself, Russia runs unchecked, the “tax bill” starts its insidious destruction….

      • Exactly, the next President will face challenges as bad, if not worse, than what Obama faced.

In this time of confusion, all I have to offer is my vast experience with illness and surgeries..sorry you’re sick, Buzz. Take plain guaifenesin to keep things loose, avoid ibuprofen and acetaminophen as they compromise the immune system, (higher death rates from flu with those who took antipyretics) then take sudafed to decongest, nose spray as an emergency only. Multivitamin without iron, fish oil, N acetylcysteine is a great supplement (it’s the molecule the liver uses to manufacture glutathione, which it uses to detoxify everything with.) Get better!

Watch for the Repubs to cheat in Pa… At what point is Rump impeached just for sheer incompetence? How many ppl have been fired from the White House?? He’s incompetent disaster.

No. Trump Monster jr. Showing a willingness to conspire with a foreign power to acquire the Oval Office by engaging in a criminal conspiracy against the United States of America does not fall under the protections of the First Amendment. You ffffing idiot. Replying to a offer to conspire with a foreign power with the phrase “I love it” goes to criminal intent.
