The greed of doctors was one of the initial triggers of our healthcare woes. Higher and higher fees prompted the insurance industry, then hospitals, insurance companies, then drug companies all piled on. Insurance companies turned out on top, dictating our treatment. Pharmaceutical companies went their own way and now are one of the most egregious examples of unmitigated greed imaginable. Drugs are marked up needlessly by thousands of percent, and we just..put up with it. The lobbies of these entities and the right wing are preventing us from pursuing the only logical and moral solution, which is healthcare for all citizens, eliminating the costly and unnecessary private health insurance industry.

It’s ridiculous we have to fight to get the Mueller report released. Actually, infuriating and disgusting. Trey Gowdy can go get F’ed with a thorny rose stem. Just because a quote says that something couldn’t be proven doesn’t mean that there isn’t plenty of evidence or that it can’t be proven in the future. We have a corruption problem. How far back it goes, I don’t know. Elections thrown by the Supreme Court, Court seat stolen, incompetent partisans appointed to the Court, now an entire administration with a reputation for corruption. A Republican Party complicit to and encouraging corruption. No pretense of a two party system, it’s just get the power by any means necessary and pass legislation by any means necessary.

Yeah, I can’t agree, Buzz..the Democratic process depends on assumptions like both sides operating in good faith (or there being enough balance so that judicial checks and balances can operate) and not being corrupt. This is why we have to find a way to shame (and prosecute) Rump..which is tough since he’s already on videotape talking about pussygrabbing and nobody cared. My biggest fear is that Mueller turns out to be a partisan, and the report doesn’t really help us. I hope that’s not the case.

Truthfully Biden comes with a lot of baggage and I do not necessarily see him galvanizing anyone and winning an election against Trump – although I would vote for him in a nanosecond over Trump. There are younger, better and more passionate candidates out there that could generate much more excitement and enthusiasm than a Democratic dinosaur like Biden. Plus the whole “Mike Pence is a great guy” thing from Uncle Joe did not win him any points in my book – Mike Pence is not a great guy by any stretch of the imagination and bolstering the false narrative of him as so is either naive or stupid.

Sorry, boys, but this one was a little tone deaf for me.. Flores was the candidate for lieutenant governor, so seems a little dismissive to try and write her off as just some Bernie shill.. And really, “too soon”?? I’d actually say this is the PERFECT time to mention it (so he can get the message and stop the behavior now before a general election).. Is she supposed to wait and mention it AFTER he’s the nominee? She said herself she did NOT feel it was in any way sexual assault, (she’s given him the benefit of the doubt, so I think we owe her the dignity of the same), but it does sound sexIST.. Does anyone honestly believe “Uncle Joe” would be smelling/slow-kissing a 30yo MAN running for high office? Biden himself doesn’t deny it happened, so it’s a bit of a stretch for Buzz to try to dismiss this as juvenile democrats “eating our own, or that we should never express any critique of any democrat… apparently EVER. As was astutely noted, some ppl like to be touched and some ppl don’t, so probably best to just keep your hands/lips to yourself with ppl you just met.

    • I thought I condemned Biden’s behavior then emphasized that it’ll be an ongoing process of cleaning up after his gaffes, etc. Maybe I’m wrong about the odd timing of this, but it seems strange that it didn’t come up before, especially knowing there have been other incidents with other people. Biden’s been accused of being handsy before. I’m NOT doubting her story.

I don’t know, I guess I’m naive, but I’m guessing she didn’t bring it up previously for the same reasons Dr. Blasey Ford didn’t, because Biden wasn’t openly toying with running for anything until now. Obviously it would have been ideal if she had had the wherewithal to have gently explained to him how some people might react to that kind of interaction at the moment it happened, but this was the VICE PRESIDENT, so I’m guessing she was probably a little star-struck and confused at the time, brushed it off, and only later, the more she thought about it, the more weird/uncomfortable it seemed.. I watched her, listened to her, and I’m just not seeing any indication of some diabolical plot to sabotage.. Just a credible woman coming forward with her story so that she, Biden, and primary voters could all be on the same page.

  • Oh my goodness….Bidondi is so out of shape that he’s panting while he’s doing his wrestling pitch. Endlessly amusing!!!!

I disagree with Buzz. I have no confidence in the conservative members of SCOTUS. I pray that I’m wrong.
