The utter cluelessness of Biden’s comments is astounding. Did he sleep through the last decade? Is he delusional? He honestly thinks that all it will take is vanquishing Trump in order for the Republicans to become normal and interested in bipartisanship and legislating? There is only one party that is interested in bipartisanship (the Democrats) and it has been to their detriment more often than not in the last 30 years. The Republicans have zero interest in bipartisanship and you cannot have it with only one party participating. They never will be interested so long as they think they can steamroll the opposing side. There has been no accountability for any of the debacles that the Republicans have committed over the last 30 years, so unless some major accountability is enacted against them nothing will change. It sounds like Uncle Joe just wants to win and sweep everything under the rug and pretend it never happened and let the problem continue to fester. Worse, the “serious” media seems to be spinning him as the front runner, although I am damned if I can figure out why. They have a strong field of younger, more passionate contenders who are actually living in the real world and want to figure out real solutions and not in some fantasy land where Uncle Joe thinks he can chant a magic mantra and the Republicans will instantly become good little doobies.

I don’t know where it came from, but I had heard that West Wing rant for a few years when I saw it.
