This #civility nonsense just makes me miss Jon Stewart even more.

    • Badgerite

There was just a shooting at a newspaper in Maryland. Multiple reported killed.
Civility? Calling newsmen and women “enemies of the people” is ‘civil’? This has been going on in the trump camp since day one. And everyone, including Sarah Sanders, knows it.

  • I think we should call Trump, Trumpov, and his followers Trumpovskies–so we can always remind people of his Russian backers.

I’d like to know why the mainstream media isn’t reporting the effects of Rump’s tax giveaway to the rich, the tariffs, etc. Also how many guilty pleas and bad things have been dug up in the Mueller investigation. How middle America’s future is being affected.. What good is the moral high ground when the other side steals Supreme Court seats? Nice to hear bookstores aren’t dying..Barnes and Noble sold their soul and became a toy literally can’t find any books there. I went in looking for a certain gardening book, there weren’t any..the garden section was one single upright section..not an aisle, or row, just a display. I haven’t been back. I go to ABE books online. Ok, hasn’t anyone explained that the indiscriminate use of tariffs are bad to Rump? And..I ask and ask about this..when will someone ask who is paying for Rump’s rallies, and how (un)ethical are they? If you like Vibrio, look up Nagleria Fowleri..(parasite, not bacteria) and remember how many lakes and ponds and ill chlorinated pools you went swimming in as a youth. Yeah, I’ve done a lot of research on the Spanish Flu. As many as 100 million may have died due to bad reporting of statistics. Good thing this administration is funding science and research so well, we should have a universal flu vaccine soon..not.

Welcome back, T-Rex! Bob, even though this show came out on a very dark day, I was smiling and laughing listening to it. Great to hear David again, and to hear both of you cut loose with the f-bombs.

This one was one of your best. Thanks so much for it.

  • On Bob’s point about how “the left” is going to take shit no matter what, we have one of those weird instances when we realize our high school football coach was right:

When you’re going over the middle on a pass play, you can count on the simple fact that a safety or a linebacker is going to be looking to hit you so hard your grandparents die. And he’s going to do it whether you catch the ball or not.
    So catch the fuckin’ football.

I wonder if Chief Justice Roberts is aware that just saying something is not there does not make it so. If I put my hands over my eyes and claim I don’t see what is right under my nose, what is right under my nose, in reality, is still there.
    And quite evident.

Best response to “Whining” Sarah Sanders was from Michelle Goldberg in the NYT opinion piece We Have a Crisis of Democracy, Not Manners. She nails it. Especially the last two lines.
“As long as our rulers wage war on cosmopolitan culture, they shouldn’t feel entitled to its fruits. If they don’t want to hear the angry citizens their supposed to serve, let them eat at trump Grill. ”
The whole article is well worth the read as she states the case clearly.
FFFFFFF trump and FFFFFF his enablers.

    • I actually thought Trevor Noah’s response was very good as well. Funny and insightful.

      • Badgerite

Just watched it. Yeah that was good. And funny.
Especially liked the part where he showed the response to Martin Luther King during his life.
        Right on the money.

        • Yep, I remember my Dad saying how he didn’t support MLK because trouble always seemed to follow him and that violence would always result. I reminded him that the violence originated with the police. It gave him pause but that was the propaganda line and most Southerners bought it at the time.
