  • Magnitsky was tied to a bed and beaten so severely that he died (of course, his illnesses were part of it too). I saw a CNN video about it yesterday.

Bob, in regards your night sweats, it sounds like you’re having a hormonal issue, which might be normal for men your age (Happy Birthday BTW!) This is not a dig at you–I’m 47 too. But If you think it’s annoying, try menopause. And this summer heat in Arizona….it’s frigging killing me!

Emin is a Russian pop star and actually the son of Russian Oligarch, Aras, who is best buds with Putin.

Buzz is right, not everyone will accept Trump’s collusion and that percentage of the population, about 30% maybe, will be convinced that we experienced a coup. Not to be a Debbie Downer, but the damage to our grand Democratic Experiment will be permanent. I keep hoping that Rod Serling will step out from behind a door and tell us this was all just a nightmare. How can we repair it? Can it be repaired?

I keep hoping that Rod Serling will step out from behind a door and tell us this was all just a nightmare. How can we repair it? Can it be repaired?

Short answer: No. Long answer: NOOOOOOOOOOO.

America is fucked beyond belief! And there’s not a goddamn thing anyone can do about it!

      • Thanks for bucking me up there! /sarcasm

        • Victor the Crab

          Sorry.

    • My hormones are actually quite good considering my age. T levels are higher than average for a 46 year old man. I think it’s a room temperature thing, actually. The Hullo Pillow helped a lot.

      • I keep the temp pretty low at night and everyone freezes but me. I have no effs to give though until my hormones level off. The kids can put on a parka, but I can’t shed my skin. 🙂

Fox “news” this morning saying “Don Jr has broken no laws.” First, that remains to be seen, and, since when does colluding with a known foreign enemy not set off alarm bells? Especially basic, patriotic, loyalty type alarm bells?

Buzz..the press needs to take back their objectivity from the propaganda sellers on the right wing. The difference between Fox, Breitbart, Right wing et al and..everyone else must be hammered home. There’s propaganda, then there’s news. One is objective, the other, not. The problem with Rump’s election is that all media sources went “full profit mode,” and lost their objectivity in the insanity of promoting Rump. We now have a completely unqualified, and malevolent entity and his family in the White House now. As to this Don Jr bit, soliciting (or accepting) help from a foreign country to defeat an opponent in an election immediately raises concerns for being compromised..probably why it’s illegal.

Is there a link to the Australian oped you played on the show?

As someone pointed out, this meeting alone and failure to disclose it would constitute leverage to blackmail. That is what Flynn was fired for.
As to the outrage, Ukraine doesn’t have a nuclear arsenal pointed at the US, spies in our country and never attempted to interfere in our elections. What’s more, what was disclosed by them was actually a substantial payment for services rendered to Putin’s ally in Ukraine who was subsequently chased from Ukraine and that Manafort had not disclosed and had denied ever occurred. Until a money trail established that the payment had occurred. He was working as an act for a foreign entity. Received an under the table payment of 12 million dollars. Had failed to disclose it. And then lied about it. Nothing suspicious going on there.

    • Not to mention Manafort’s own daughters communication (text or email, don’t remember) that called the money from Ukraine “blood money”. Talk about a smoking gun…that there is flames shooting out of the barrel.

Uday Jr didn’t just decide to release the trove of emails.. he was advised to, and this was only after he was informed that NYT had the entire trove of emails and was going to release them … he simply was advised to do it first.. as if that would help his innocence talking points.

    • Badgerite

Not only that, but his first statement claimed that what was talked about was only an “adoption program”. He tried to make the meeting sound as if it had some policy purpose other than to agree to work to repeal the Magnitsky Act. No mention of HRC emails until the NYT told him that they had were going to release the full email to him about what was to be discussed. I like to call him, Mr. Credibility at this point. Exactly how many times is one expected to give these people a free pass (get out of jail free card) for lying through their teeth. Jesus. He isn’t even a “quality” liar.

  • Draxiar

I’m wondering if the far left is naysaying Trump-Russia because it means that Hillary may have actually won and/or their fantasy about Utopia rising from the revolution ashes of the trump presidency may not come to pass in the way they expected. Shots in the dark but who knows what they ever really want?

    • Zero Dark Thirsty ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

He seemed to be talking about the Intercept who in my mind is not nor has ever been left leaning.. they are in their own extremist world of libertarianism.. think Glenn Greenwald..

      • Badgerite

        Exactly. Well put.

  • ProudLiberalAlways

Bob—at around 39:00, you mentioned that weird song—–the only thing even close to that would be the Andy Panda song from Woody Woodpecker (way back when), and after I saw the tape—-it isn’t. He (Goldstone) must be making it up.

  • Michael B. Conway

Is Don Jr. the Fredo or the Sonny?

    • Aynwrong

Does he get the dingy or the toll booth?

    • Don P

      Neither, he’s Jackie Aprille jr.

    • Zero Dark Thirsty ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

Jr and Eric are Uday and Qusay..
