  • The Facebook Algorithm giveth, and the Facebook Algorithm taketh away.

  • The ad parody is a classic. Good to hear that one again.

  • I saw that photo of the two guys with the t-shirts–it REALLY pissed me off. I was ranting for half an hour after that. Effers.

    • Ceoltoir

Two bitter old men who were handed every advantage in life and squandered it. So, now they let the whole world know exactly how stupid they are.

  • Ceoltoir

Term limits MASSIVELY increase the power of lobbyists.

    • Badgerite

These types of people would only be for term limits if it worked in their favor.
The less time a Congress person serves in Congress, the less real experience and the less real power they have. And lobbyists probably like it that way.

Merriam Webster definition of COLLUSION: secret agreement especially for an illegal or deceitful purpose.
That sounds about right. Collusion to commit an illegal act is actually CONSPIRACY.
The two are interchangeable. According to the statute, accepting anything of value from a foreign country is illegal.
This isn’t hard. This is not complicated. Collusion could be determined to have a broader meaning than conspiracy but when you collude to engage in illegal activity in violation of US election laws and to help a foreign power in its attempts to alter the outcome of a presidential election ( defrauding the American public) that is simply an illegal conspiracy.
This is not even a close call. The intent to take help from Russian intelligence and the intent to help the Kremlin in their illegal efforts is written all over everything everyone involved at the highest levels of the trump campaign said and did.
Although the Congress seemed singularly uninterested in finding out whose blocked phone Traitor Tot called before the June 6 meeting, I’m sure Special Counsel Mueller was not uninterested and I’m sure he has that information at his disposal.
Also trump’s tax returns. This case isn’t even a tough call.

Any clarification of why conspiracy is a crime in criminal code versus the common term collusion isn’t going to be exciting. The way you guys, Bob and Jacki, trashed Coons was really juvenile, and then when Bob started to clarify it, Jacki did the same to you. Instead of simply saying “yeah, attacking our own side probably isn’t a good idea,” you doubled down with an explanation that we need to be “more exciting.” This, after you went through a very un exciting review of possible constitutional amendments. You do good work, the show is enjoyable, but it really seems that no one can simply admit when they may have been wrong. If you go back and listen to that segment, Coons was honestly trying to clarify a complex subject that the right wing is dumbing down and exploiting semantics for their own use, and you guys treating the whole thing like there was a superior method of “jazzing it up” and being juvenile was hardly worth doubling down on it and defending the whole thing again this week. You and your show are better than that.

    • If I didn’t respect what Coons was doing, I wouldn’t have made his video the top story. I guess I’d prefer to hear more *fight* from our leadership given the stakes of this crisis.

As for being juvenile… fine… guilty.

And this is why your show is great and you deserve listen and actually care about doing the right thing..good on you. If I wasn’t fighting for disability, I’d love to fund your show generously. I really love the show, guests and I depend on it to keep me sane. Keep up the great work!

        • You guys make it easy to be fair and open to suggestions/comments. I’m always grateful for your input, Kat.
