No. The Clinton White House did not call the Ken Starr ‘investigation’ a “witch hunt”. Hilary Clinton called it a “vast right wing conspiracy”. Looking back, I would say she was right.
And then, of course, there is this:
trump’s Director of National Intelligence – convicted felon- guilty plea
trump’s campaign manager- convicted felon – jury verdict
trump’s personal lawyer – convicted felon – guilty plea
And even more significant is what the Mueller investigation has uncovered in a campaign that regularly and thoroughly denied any contacts whatsoever with any Russians let alone Russians well known to American Intelligence as operatives with connections to Russian Intelligence and the Kremlin. Money laundering on a massive scale that the trump organization was involved in. Campaign funds from a hostile foreign power funneled into the National Rifle Association to be used to benefit gop campaigns. Campaign funds from a hostile foreign power funneled directly and indirectly to gop campaigns. Hacking operations of Russian intelligence that compromised or tried to compromise voting rolls in close to 30 states. Hacking of DNC computers and funneling campaign information including strategies to gop candidates. And this isn’t even a comprehensive list.
What did the Starr ‘investigation’ uncover?
A consensual blow job in the White House that was ruled immaterial to the Paula Jones lawsuit by the presiding judge in a case where the plaintiff succeeded in putting a sitting president under oath with respect to his private relationships.
I wouldn’t call that a ‘witch hunt’. I would call that the “exciting prospect of using the levers of government to screw your political enemies.” It’s like they took the Nixon template and ran with it. I would also call that using the legal system as a cudgel for the legal harassment of a sitting president.
That would be the Ken Starr who established such a stellar record in terms of concern for sexual harassment claims at Baylor University. FFFFFF him.

Got distracted yesterday, had to stop listening. Restarted this morning, skimming other headlines at the same time and lo and behold..Manafort is set for a plea deal. He’s going to get away, I just feel it, and perhaps they all will. I’m just too depressed..our country just seems too stupid to exist now…

  • Bob, get the free Kindle app for your phone. Then go to Amazon and tell them you want to switch your order to the Kindle version and set it to download to your phone. You could probably have it in less than 15 minutes.

    • Awesome. Maybe I’ll try this in the morning.

Rump is afraid of water because of his hair..god only knows what would happen if water hit that thing..

Article from CNN..Rump’s lies have reached epic levels..

“On his 601st day in office, President Donald Trump broke what many people might have assumed was an unbreakable barrier: He said his 5,000th thing that was either totally false or partially untrue.
That’s according to the count being kept by the invaluable folks at The Washington Post’s Fact Checker blog. And, what’s even more amazing than a President who is averaging — repeat: averaging — more than eight untruths a day is this: Trump’s penchant for saying false things is exponentially increasing as his presidency wears on.”

I’ve said it many times before, sorry, but the hypocrisy of a previous president being criticized for such tiny bullshit as wearing a tan suit, yet nothing happening to the current liar-in-chief when he lies, lies and lies simply mind bending. This fits with his not wanting to learn anything, because he is childish enough that he simply finds it easier to lie and construct his own reality. Woodward could use his tapes and still conceal sources by running the taped voices through a voice changer. I’m ready..so, so ready, for Rump to be led away from the White House in handcuffs to serve a very long, long prison sentence..along with all his family members, friends, associates, business partners and anyone else associated with his criminal bullshit.
