“You know it’s April during an election year when things get really effing stupid in politics.” “Oh, I’m sorry, has it not been up to now?” I LOLed.

“Who’s going to blame a ten-year-old kid for what he did and didn’t do, for God’s sake?” Righties, for whom families are fair game.

Ted Nugent is a waste of carbon. Ignore him and let him drift into obscurity. Life’s much simpler that way.

That Mitt Romney is leading Barack Obama by 6 points among people 65+ doesn’t surprise me. It’s partly race (not necessarily racism, but discomfort about race and changing demographics), it’s partly the conservatism that comes with age (Chez, you nailed it with “fear of change”), it’s partly the fact that someone 65 years old remembers when Republicans were serious about governing (and not just about winning elections), and it’s partly the fact that Barack Obama is young enough to be their child. It is also common, alas, for older people to become more bluntly selfish, to feel that they shouldn’t have to pay for services they don’t benefit from: schools, prenatal care, SNAP, TANF, WIC, you name it.

The ACA (the Kickass Healthcare Law) provides us a nearly-perfect example of this. Listen to the graying TPers in their Medicare-provided Hoverounds: they earned their benefits, unlike all those moochers who, by a strange coincidence, just happen to be younger than they are.

Bob, I can’t tell you how glad I am that someone else hates websites that autoplay video almost as much as I do. Browsing with one finger on the Mute key is a bore.
