Just one thing to say about this podcast: http://i.imgur.com/iiUum.jpg

  • “Dylan Ratigan,” the William Shatner of cable news.”

While Bob and Chez are kinda the Bob and Elvis of cable news…

It does sound like Grease Man (is the name one word? two words? is there a definite article in the name? I really can’t force myself to care) would be a monster hit on Righty talk radio. Of course, he may actually be stupid enough to think nothing of doing racist jokes, which would tend to limit his employability, even among Righty babblers.

“Chronicling Mitt’s Mendacity” is a valuable public service, provided to a public which sadly doesn’t know about it and probably wouldn’t care even if it did.

I read Will, Liddy’s autobiography or memoir or whatever his publisher called it, back in the early 1980s. Several times in the book he brags that he taught a secretary how to kill a man with only a pencil. Horrible book. Horrible man.

Bob, your G. Gordon Liddy impression sounds suspiciously like Burgess Meredith as The Penguin (in case you children don’t get the reference start here).

“It was so offensive, I don’t even want to say it in front of women,” one state representative said. “I would not say that in mixed company.”

(TPM) Oh noes! She used a clinical, Latin term for a naughty bit! Of a girl! Punish her! (There’s probably a dick joke to be made, but I’m too lazy to figure out what it is.)

Bob, you’re absolutely right: Mitt Romney speaks for those who want to privatize everything. (Chez, you beat me to the Robocop reference—it would have surprised me if you hadn’t.) And the people ostentatiously wearing (brand-new, still creased from the plastic bag) NYPD and FDNY tees don’t care about police officers or firefighters except when they are useful as background props.

I don’t know that Newt Gingrich knows or cares that he’s undermining Romney. Everything Newt Gingrich does is to benefit Newt Gingrich.

I seem to say this every week, but you guys make me very glad I don’t have cable.
