I actually found the Michelle Duggar voice a slight turn on. With that I probably should turn in my heterosexual card.

Re Michelle Duggar (“sippa sippa sippa…”) – when a woman speaks with such a voice – high-pitched, ‘bright’, girlish – it’s a solid suspicion she was sexually abused as a child.

  • aynwrong

Is it wrong that when I read this article at the AV Club I thought of the Duggars?

  • JMAshby

I demand that you keep using the clown car music. It’s the best thing ever.

  • Badgerite

Here’s a simple test for Meghan Kelly and Fox and Friends. What would they say if this type of behavior involved someone close to the Clintons?

    • Ceoltoir

You might recall prior to the 2008 election when it came out that Sarah Palin was expecting her first of several illegitimate grandchildren. It was observed about what would have happened if that had been one of then Senator Obama’s daughters. The entire corporate press would have combusted into a howling firestorm of bigotry and scorn. When it comes to this situation, how is it any different?

      • Badgerite

I agree. About the same double standard.

      • Boko999

As a real bastard, I resemble your remarks.

Bob, the Universe is telling you to stop talking about the bloody Duggars.

As much as it pains me to say this, Lindsey Graham’s dropping the ‘g’ in strength isn’t all that uncommon. We English speakers tend to be lazy—before linguists call for my head to be displayed on a pike as a warning for others, yes, I know it’s more complicated than that—and so all kinds of consonants get dropped from words. From what I’ve heard, that ‘g’ is getting weaker and weaker in casual speech.

Which is not to say Graham’s pronunciation isn’t hilarious. In his slow, soft, South Carolina accent, “strenth” doesn’t come across nearly as, well, strong as “strength.”

Oh. Dear. Lord. Rick Perry’s country-rap campaign song is horrific. I’ll be shocked if tomorrow morning you can’t download the mp3 from the campaign website. *shudders*

Even Mike Huckabee is running away from the Duggars (I came very close to making a gratuitous fat joke there). Yep, it’s official: the Duggars are radioactive.

Chez, you’re right: Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are desperate to make themselves out to be the victims of some sort of liberal conspiracy (to which my response is: get down off the cross, we need the damn wood). Revolting people.

“What the critics are going for …” By Fox News standards, that makes the question that follows hard-nosed; by any legitimate journalistic standard, that question was a softball.

    “Cultapraxapro.” Excellent bit.

Keith Ablow is a blithering idiot and an embarrassment to the psychiatry. Yes, he’s more or less right on the definition of a pedophile, but that means he’s as accurate as a stopped clock.

Chuck C. Johnson embodies the venerable Australianism: a prick with ears.

I can’t decide which is worse: Rick Perry’s rap/country song or the gospel choir singing Eminem’s Lose Yourself before Ben Carson’s announcement. This link is already going around. I’m not brave enough to click on the Download Now button though.

      • muselet

They’re both awful. Let’s just leave it at that. Unfortunately, until some of the clowns get kicked out of the car, we’re going to have lots of bad music inflicted upon us.

And I wouldn’t click on Download Now for all the proverbial. Yeesh.

  • aynwrong

I’m pretty sure I heard Provasic somewhere in that list.

Also, doesn’t Buzzfeed have a legitimate claim / lawsuit against Johnson for fraud?

Rick Perry needs the money to pay all his attorney fees. “Rick Perry supporter let’s protect our border…..USA…..Rick Perry all they way!” Wooo hoooo!! Best rap song ever.

Jersey girl hair, the side hugs, the clap…The list of side effects of Cultapraxapro was quite impressive. Lol!
