In other news, Rep. Chris Collins (R-NY) is going to remain on the November ballot even though he's been indicted for insider trading because Republican officials couldn't figure out what to do with him.
Republicans faced difficulty in removing Collins from the ballot under New York State law. The only option was to nominate him for another office and have a replacement take his place on the ballot for his congressional seat. But the NRCC, the campaign arm for House Republicans, told NBC News that the only other office available was a judgeship, and Collins is not a lawyer.
Meanwhile, it appears Turkey and Russia have negotiated an alternative to a full-on assault on Idlib, the last province held by Syrian rebels. An attack would have placed 3 million humans under siege. Turkey did not want to see another million refugees flood their border so they've slowly moved their own forces into Idlib to block an attack.
This looks like good news, but let's see what happens.
