In other news, the U.S. economy added 235,000 jobs during the month of February. Thanks, Obama.

Of course Trump wants to take credit for jobs reports now even though he hasn't done anything yet.

Meanwhile, the Marine Corps scandal involving the collection of nude photos of female service members is apparently worse than anyone thought. Members of other branches of the military are also involved.

Finally, the FBI has reportedly assigned fewer agents to investigate Trump's ties to Russia than were assigned to the Clinton email nothingburger. I wish I could say I'm surprised.

David Brooks actually wrote something today that I agree with.

The Trump regime (or at least Rick Perry) apparently found someone who is too anti-Muslim even for them.

The DREAMER who was arrested right after speaking out against Trump's deportation plans, Daniela Vargas, was released from custody this morning. The Southern Poverty Law Center filed a petition for her release.

  • Those assholes in the military who nastily violated their fellow soldiers need to be tossed out dishonorably and do some jail time.

Yes. They need to be made an example of.

I used to listen to Johann Sebastian Bach whenever I needed a reminder that the Universe is actually a rational place, even if our little corner of it is populated by loonies.

I need to listen to more Bach.

The mathematical precision in Bach’s work is wonderful. My go-to has always been the Brandenburg Concertos.

    “Q: Trump’s called jobs reports phony…
Spicer, quoting what Trump told him: “They may have been phony in the past, but it’s very real now””

I hope the day comes soon when a reporter just busts out laughing at Spicer or whatever hapless turniphead is selected to spew drumpish at the press corps.

“Bwahahaha, you said that with a straight face, do you hear yourself” etc., with other reporters joining in, tears streaming down their faces, and then they all get up and leave shaking their heads.

    • Aynwrong

From what I read, there were reporters laughing. I avoid listening to Spicer like I avoid the plague. The mind can only take so much.

And when it does, that reporter will be instantly dragged out of the WHPC violently where they will be taken to the bowels of the White House, attached to a breaking wheel and have all their bones busted badly, then skinned alive bloodily and have a blowtorch used on all their exposed parts. They will then have the corpse left out in public as a warning to others not to ever question the supreme intelligence of Drumph and his higher ups.

America is fucked beyond belief. And there’s nothing anyone can do about it.

America is fucked beyond belief. And there’s nothing anyone can do about it.

America is in trouble, no doubt. But fucked beyond belief? Only by folks with that defeatist attitude.

Let me know when the Republican party actually pays for the evil shit they’ve caused for decades. Then I’ll buy into that.

    • JMAshby

There actually was a round of laughter when Spicer said that.

      • gescove

I saw that, but the laughter wasn’t at Spicer and his Orwellian spin, rather it was more of a shared chuckle by people in the know about an inside joke. I wanted his spin met with stone silence. I wanted a serious person to stand up and say, “Have you no sense of decency, sir? At long last, have you left no sense of decency?”
