In other news, Scott Pruitt's EPA forcibly removed an Associated Press reporter from a summit on harmful water contaminants this morning.

Guards barred an AP reporter from passing through a security checkpoint inside the building. When the reporter asked to speak to an EPA public-affairs person, the security guards grabbed the reporter by the shoulders and shoved her forcibly out of the EPA building.

Meanwhile, former congressmen, sexual harasser, and pajama enthusiast Blake Farenthold may have been hired illegally by Port Lavaca, Texas. The port is required by law to notify the public when it's spending money to hire new people, but they didn't.

Finally, White House sources tell the Boston Globe that some of Trump's unhinged tweets are actually written by staffers trying to imitate him.

When a White House employee wants the president to tweet about a topic, the official writes a memo to the president that includes three or four sample tweets, according to those familiar with the process.

Trump then picks the one he likes best, according to the two people, neither of whom wanted to be named because they’re not authorized to talk about the operations. Sometimes Trump will edit the wording and sometimes he’ll just pick his favorite for blasting out to his 52 million Twitter followers.

Everything is dumb.
